Contheading Doesnt Continue to the End of Toc Latex
In Word 2013, you would still do it by modifying the paragraph format in TOC # style so that it has an appropriate indent after the text.
If the entries in the table of contents are from numbered headings, you will also probably want to set an appropriate Hanging Indent so that the text wraps to the correct point.
One thing that I do find almost impossible to do in Word in Office 365 is to modify the indents by using the markers on the ruler without interfering with the tab stop for the number, so I resort to using the Modify Style>Format Paragraph dialog.
Hope this helps,

Word 2013 and above do not honor tab settings beyond the right margin. Initially, Word 2013 also ignored tab settings beyond a right indent, but this was corrected by an update. The hitch is that, although you can drag the indent marker on the ruler, you can't do it without dragging the tab stop with it, and then you can't move that tab stop back or set a tab stop to the right of the indent; you have to do that through the Tabs dialog. And some users have found that a tab stop exactly at the right margin will not work; by default, Word sets the tab stop for the page numbers at .01" left of the margin (7.49" for a 7.5" line), so, to be on the safe side, you should do the same.

Thank you everyone for your responses. They help. But ... it still isn't working.
When I move the right indent over (using the ruler), the tab comes with it, so the page numbers are moved in as well.
I updated my Office 2013 app. And tried again, but it's still not working (tab setting is still affected by the right indent change).
Notably, when I tried the file in Word 2010, it works! So ... I'll either use that (if the client is willing) or insert manual line breaks in the Word 2013 version. *sigh*
Wonder why Microsoft changed this feature in 2013 and on?

As I said, after you move the right indent, you have to delete that tab stop and reinsert it in the desired location using the Tabs dialog.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. I always use the Tabs dialog to change tabs, and Paragraph dialog to change indents.
I just checked again: I added the right indent in the Paragraph dialog then went to Tabs, cleared the right margin tab and reinserted it. And it STILL isn't working - it's indenting the entire line as specified by the right margin indent.

Yes, that's how I modify indents/tabs, via the Paragraph or Tabs dialog (modifying the given style). I don't trust myself to use the ruler to do that. It often results in unintended consequences. : )

Did you set the tab stop just inside the right margin?

There was probably no need to do anything with the tab (assuming that you had not done anything with it previously).
Simply accessing the Paragraph dialog to set the indents is all that you should need to do.
However, if you cannot get it sorted out, if you send me a copy of the document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
